What to visit – Farmhouses in le Marche

THE METAURO VALLEY is one of the areas in Central Italy which still  offers an archaic and fascinating scenery and is ideal for a holiday in Le Marche,  especially in one of the most panoramic farmhouses in the region.

A holiday in this area means that it can  be enriched with visits to artistic and cultural centres, excursions in the varied natural surroundings and by taking part in workshops to learn antique crafts and about local culture and history.

Within only a few kilometres from this farmhouse in Le Marche it is possible to visit the antique home of the Dukedom of Urbino with its prominent Palazzo Ducale, the masterpieces of Raffaello and Piero Della Francesca; Casteldurante (now named Urbania) with its important collection of Renaissance ceramics, language and pottery schools; Gubbio home of Federico Da Montefeltro and last but not least the beautiful towns situated on the Adriatic coast. All combine to make an unrepeatable experience in Le Marche.

At the end of the day touring La  Rosa Tea will welcome you back with its extreme comfort and inviting swimming pool.

Traditions

Throughout the year the farmhouses of Le Marche offer you the possibility of discovering the delights of an area through its seasonal changes of products to taste and smell: in Winter the typical biscuits and buns such as ‘il bostrengo’ and ‘il maritozzo’ , In Spring  Easter means the  ‘Crescia brusca’ a cheesy savory loaf and snails. At the end of Summer, and during the rest of the year the White Truffle becomes the leader for the table in this Appenine area.
